Previous projects include:
‘WOMEN ON THE MIC’ engaging and training diverse women to broadcast their stories and cultures. So far this has resulted in one radio station increasing it’s female producers and presenters to 50%. That’s what it should be, but how many are really equal?!! Currently she is writing a journal article together with some of the amazing girls and women who took part.
‘CHINESE LIVES IN BRITAIN’ a radio series in Cantonese and English with wonderful stories from young & older Malay, Chinese, Korean, Vietnamese, Hong Kong (& more) residents.
‘YOUNG MINDS’ engaging and training diverse young people to produce and present their own regular radio show.
‘VINTAGE FM’ engaging and training diverse older people to broadcast their debates & stories, both in residential care & in the community. Some older folks simply wish to record their story for their family. That’s something we can do together.
‘ROUTES INTO LEVENSHULME’ Amazing stories about how people from so many countries and cultures arrived in this vibrant, yet disadvantaged suburb of Manchester.
‘THE HYPE’ As a community radio volunteer, Suzi’s interviews hyping up local characters, instead of the usual celebrities.
National Community radio gold award. In 2020 ALL FM won the Community Radio Station of the Year GOLD award. Suzi edited the submission as part of her work with this multi-award winning radio station. Below shows the awards ceremony in 2022.
